About Lakeshore Looms
Lakeshore Looms is a Chicago studio started by Luis Miranda: an IT professional and AI/ML developer with an enterprise IT background, and co-owner of a working Chicago trades business.
Running a trades company taught us what owners actually need from a website: to look trustworthy in three seconds, load fast on a phone, and turn visitors into calls. Enterprise IT taught us to build things that do not break.
We run an AI-assisted studio. Our tools draft copy, explore layouts and assemble code fast. A real person directs the design, reviews every line and approves everything before it reaches you. That is how we deliver work that looks like a big agency made it, at prices real businesses can say yes to.

FAQ
How can a premium site cost $1,500 instead of $10,000?
We built a design system and section library once and reuse the engineering under every project, and AI tools handle a lot of the production work. A person designs, reviews and signs off on everything. You get custom art direction without paying for a big agency office.
Do I own my website?
Yes. You always own your domain and your content. Site files are handed over on request (for Storm Launch sites, once the 3-month care minimum is paid).
Why is a care plan required?
Websites need hosting, security updates, backups and small edits. Bundling that keeps your site healthy and lets us keep build prices low. After any minimum term it is month to month with 30 days notice.
What does the $500 Storm Launch include, and what is the catch?
Up to 5 pages on our template system, styled to your brand, mobile friendly and fast, with 1 revision round. The only catch: it requires a care plan for at least 3 months, and there are only 8 spots in month one.
Can you build my app idea?
Our App Starters cover a focused first version: one core workflow and up to 5 screens. Payments, integrations and multiple user types move to a custom quote after a discovery call, so you know the full cost before work starts.
Do you only work with Chicago businesses?
We are based in Chicago and love local work, but we build for anyone, anywhere: individuals, small businesses, startups and larger brands.
How long does it take?
A Launch Page is about 5 business days. A Signature Site about 2 weeks. Flagship Sites and App Starters 3 to 4 weeks. Timelines start once we have your content.
